I'm still trying to work on the Read Write Poem prompt for today, but for now I have this haiku. I passed a tree of cherry blossoms this morning and have been thinking about it all day!
The city twists, turns
Makes way for cherry blossoms
The glory of Spring

I like the image of the hard, industrial city making way for cherry blossoms. I didn't feel I had the time today to do right by the "cleave" prompt, and then blogspot messed up my spacing. I should have probably kept to something else like you did--with such beautiful results!
